Job summary

Southcoast Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner Hospitalist for the Observation Unit at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford, MA. You will conduct hospital rounds, perform histories, physicals, and follow-up visits, and develop diagnoses with timely treatment plans under physician oversight.

Hours: 40 per week, 8A-8P, 7on/7off including weekends and holidays; shift rotation includes day/evening, weekends, and holidays at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford.

Qualifications

• MSN required.
• Certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Current Massachusetts RN registration required.
• Nurse Practitioner Certificate required.
• Minimum of one year's experience as a Nurse Practitioner required.
• Current Massachusetts Nursing Practitioners License required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct hospital rounds as directed by the assigned Physician.
• Perform initial histories, physicals, consultations and follow-up visits with possible labs and imaging.
• Formulate diagnoses and establish timely treatment plans.
