Seeking a BE/BC Hospitalist Medical Director to join a talented team! Here's more:


• Looking to recruit an experienced Hospitalist medical director for a Hospitalist group consisting of 8 Hospitalists.
• Candidate should be BE/BC in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• Position is 8 hour shifts, Monday - Friday.
• This role is ideal for a physician who is passionate about clinical excellence, team leadership, and the delivery of patient centered care.
• In this role you will work as the clinical leadership counterpart to the VP of Clinical Operations to ensure the highest standards of care, drive quality improvement, and collaborate with other departments to optimize patient outcomes.
• Among other projects, this candidate would play a crucial role in introducing APP's to the inpatient setting.
• Full time Hospitalist shift entails: Average census per physician 15-20, 7 on/7 off schedule, open ICU, participates in rapid response team and codes.
• Currently, there are 3 physicians working per day, 7a-7p. One physician on nights 7p-7a. Each physician starts out with a set number of patients who they round and take call on during their shift.
• 12 bed OPEN ICU. ICU skills are important as Hospitalists do cover the ICU (i.e. Vent management, Central lines).
• ICU SUPPORT: Anesthesiologists and surgeons available for consults and can help with difficult cases. Anesthesia available 24 hours if needed. RT staff is proficient with intubating patients and anesthesia is a backup as well.
• Emergency Department is responsible for codes. Hospitalist is asked to arrive as soon as possible to take over care.

  • Option to work extra 12 hour shifts at $2,160 per shift if needed.

  • We provide Malpractice at $2 million per occurrence/ $6 million aggregate.

  • Very reasonable health insurance, non-smoker employee rate is $22.00/month. Family rate: $154/month.
  • 403B matching up to 3% after one year.
  • 457 plan “Top Hat Plan” max contribution of $18,000 per year.

About the Facility:

Join an accredited regional referral facility, servicing approximately 180,000 population in a nine-county area in south central Missouri and north central Arkansas. Over 100 active physicians are on the medical staff comprised of half primary care and half specialists. A number of services not normally found in rural areas are provided. For example, we have exceptionally strong programs in areas of interventional and non-interventional cardiology, obstetrics, pulmonology, neurosurgery, ENT, orthopedic and general surgery. Additionally, hospital provides medical and radiation oncology services and has extensive outreach programs.


The Community:

This area is the center of trade for a 50-mile radius. The area's educational opportunities are excellent with public and private schools. Also, the local campus of Missouri State University provides academic and vocational education programs which include a registered and practical nursing program plus a respiratory care school. The area has prospered as a result of its central location for trade-in southern Missouri as well as the growth of its educational and health services.
