Qualifikationen

• Board certified or board eligible in IM or FM.
• Eligible for unrestricted licensure in the practicing state.

Jobbeschreibung

The Hospitalist Physician provides comprehensive inpatient medical care to adult patients admitted to the hospital. This role focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic medical conditions, coordination of care across disciplines, and safe transitions through discharge. The hospitalist serves as the primary attending physician for hospitalized patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage adult inpatients with a wide range of medical conditions
• Perform admission histories and physical examinations
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans
• Provide daily patient rounds and ongoing clinical assessments
• Order, interpret, and document diagnostic tests and results
• Collaborate with consulting specialists, nursing staff, case management, and ancillary services
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers regarding care plans and progress
• Coordinate discharge planning, including medication reconciliation and follow-up care
• Respond to clinical changes, emergencies, and rapid response situations as required
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation in the electronic health record
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety efforts

Schedule & Coverage

• Inpatient hospital setting
• Day, night, or rotating shifts depending on staffing model
• Weekend and holiday coverage may be required

Qualifications
