Position Description

The Medical College of Wisconsin is seeking candidates at the Assistant or Associate Professor level for our Section of Hospital Medicine in the Division of General Internal Medicine. Our faculty work at Froedtert Hospital, a 500-bed, regional referral center in Milwaukee, WI. They have opportunities to attend on medical teams with residents and medical students, as well as traditional hospitalist teams with advanced practice providers. Additional opportunities include teams focusing on procedures, advanced heart failure, and observation in conjunction with the Emergency Department. Faculty can participate in scholarly projects, with structured mentoring available in medical education, quality improvement, and research.

Applicants should have BC/BE in Internal Medicine and be eligible for Wisconsin licensing. Experience in hospital medicine and strong communication skills are encouraged. The college offers faculty development through various institutes and the graduate school.

Position Requirements

• Completion of a U.S.-based Internal Medicine, Internal Medicine/Pediatrics, or Medicine/Psychiatry Residency and board certification within 2 years of joining MCW.
• Ability to obtain an unrestricted medical license in Wisconsin.
