Allina Health is seeking a Hospitalist to provide comprehensive inpatient care at United Hospital in St. Paul, MN.

The role focuses on directing patient care, developing treatment plans, and coordinating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality outcomes across the patient's hospital stay. You will join a large Hospitalist program with teaching opportunities through an affiliated residency, supported by Epic EMR and a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• Board certified/eligible in internal medicine or family medicine.
• Active MN medical license or ability to obtain.
• ACLS/BLS Tier 3 - Multisource required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary physician for hospitalized patients and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Perform inpatient procedures and collaborate with care teams to optimize outcomes.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team-based case management.

Key Position Details:

Serve as the primary physician for hospitalized patients, providing expert medical care, developing individualized treatment plans, performing inpatient procedures, and partnering with care teams to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Practice Details:

• 70 plus Hospitalist team including physicians and APP’s.
• Strong teaching atmosphere with the option to work with our associated family medicine residency program.
• Excellian, our EMR, is a software product from Epic and is considered one of the most comprehensive systems in the nation.
• You will be based out of United Hospital, but with the ability to cover at additional locations, as needed.
• Full time, 7 on 7 off

Job Description:

• Works collaboratively with patients to improve their health and well-being.
• Practices in a thoughtful manner including consideration for cultural diversity, individual autonomy and legal responsibilities.
• Actively participates in multidisciplinary team approach to case management.
• Utilizes quality improvement tools to develop processes that promote continuous improvement in delivery of patient care, patient outcomes, or workflows.
• May participate in peer review and quality assurance.

Required Qualifications

• Doctoral/Ph.D. level advanced degree in Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine or foreign equivalent from an approved school of medicine and
• Completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) accredited Residency training program in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine

Job Requirements

• Board Eligible/Board Certified with ABMS or AOA required
• Active, non-restricted medical license in MN (or ability to obtain)
• Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI)
• Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for credentialing and hospital privileges.
• ACLS/BLS Tier 3 - Multisource required upon hire

Pay Range

Pay Range: $350,100 to $366,400 per year

The pay described reflects the starting base pay range, assuming a full-time FTE. Your starting rate will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable).
