Job summary

St. Rose Dominican Siena seeks a Hospitalist Physician to provide high-quality inpatient care. You will diagnose and treat acute illnesses, perform rapid assessments, and coordinate with the care team to deliver compassionate, efficient service in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role requires MD or DO with residency completion, NV license or eligibility, and BLS/CPR, DEA, and CSA compliance. You will support direct patient care, education, and maintain adherence to all policies across Dignity

Qualifications

  • MD or DO with successful residency completion.
  • Active or eligible Nevada state medical licensure.
  • BLS/CPR certification at hire; DEA registration; CSA compliance in NV.

Responsibilities

  • Direct patient care and consultations in a hospitalist capacity.
  • Follow clinical guidelines and collaborate with department managers to ensure policy compliance.
  • Provide direct outpatient care and participate in clinical education of staff.
  • Submit charges according to hospital policies and guidelines.
  • Dictate patient care notes and approve dictations per hospital policies.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Physician, you will provide excellent care in the role of Hospitalist Physician.

Every day, you will apply your medical expertise to diagnose and treat a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries, ensuring efficient, high-quality, and compassionate care for each patient. This involves rapid assessment, precise intervention, and effective communication to manage diverse urgent care needs.

To be successful in your role, you will provide exemplary direct patient care, leveraging your medical expertise to diagnose and treat a wide range of acute conditions efficiently and effectively. You will demonstrate exceptional clinical proficiency, a patient-centered approach, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate care in a fast-paced environment.

  • Assists in directing the patient care and medical education
  • Provides direct outpatient medical care to patients and consultations.
  • Follows clinical guidelines. Works with Department Managers to comply with all Dignity Health St. Rose Dominican Hospitals' and Dignity Health Medical Group Nevada policies, Federal, State, and regulatory guidelines, standards, associations, and organizations.
  • Provides input to Department Managers in modification, installation or development of equipment, or facilities used by the department.
  • Follows staff coverage schedules to ensure effective physician staffing levels for center/division.
  • Assists Department Managers with clinical supervision including input to performance and evaluation.
  • Submits charges in accordance with Dignity Health St. Rose Dominican Hospitals' and Dignity Health Medical Group Nevada policies.
  • Dictates patient care notes and signs off on dictation in accordance with Dignity Health St. Rose Dominican Hospitals' and Dignity Health Medical Group Nevada policies.
