North Shore Medical Center is seeking a Trash Tech to manage waste collection and disposal within our environment services team. You will handle general, biohazard, pharmaceutical waste and ensure proper labeling and containment while following OSHA and hospital infection control policies.

Responsibilities include deep cleaning of waste areas, coordination with EVS supervisors, and maintaining clean, safe facilities.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Healthcare or janitorial experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with basic waste disposal and safety protocols preferred.

Mansioni

• Collect and dispose of all waste types from designated areas.
• Ensure waste is segregated by category to prevent contamination.
• Transport waste to disposal areas and maintain cleanliness of collection areas.
• Follow procedures for hazardous and biohazard waste per OSHA and hospital policy.
• Ensure proper labeling and containment of hazardous waste.
• Regularly clean and sanitize waste collection areas and containers.
• Maintain cleanliness in hallways and loading docks where waste is handled.
• Proper waste bin lining and replacement as needed.
