Citizens Medical Center, Inc. is seeking a receptionist/clerical assistant for the nursing unit. This role supports the Director of Nursing by handling clerical tasks, patient registrations, and chart maintenance on a day/night shift with a 3-days-a-week schedule and alternating weekends.

The position requires strong interpersonal skills, a team mindset, and the ability to read and follow nurse orders. BLS certification is required or will be provided.

Qualifications

• No formal education is required.
• Ability to read well enough to follow directions and understand responsibilities in Acute Care Nursing Department.
• BLS is required or will be assigned to a BLS class.

Responsabilités

• Act as a receptionist and/or communication hub, coordinate written and verbal communication on the unit.
• Maintain current patient chart files and update the Patient Report Form based on nurse-verified orders.
• Register patients in Emergency Room as needed and/or outside regular business hours.
• Perform clerical duties related to admission, discharge/transfer of patients.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, safe and attractive environment in the nursing unit.
• Other duties as assigned.
