Nature Of Supervision
In all activities related to the care of individual patients, the Veterinarian will take direct supervision from the Hospital Medical Leader or Area Medical Director. The Veterinarian has discretion regarding patient care decisions but must uphold Petco Veterinary SOPs. Expect to receive guidance based on electronic medical record review from the Hospital Medical Leader or Area Medical Director to elevate patient care. All hospital veterinarians should behave professionally and collegially.
Planning And Problem Solving
Problem solving is central to veterinary medicine. The successful candidate should possess excellent problem-solving skills for expeditious diagnosis of patient issues.

This position contributes to the growth of a high-quality practice, ensuring a cohesive, motivated team, retention, patient well-being, and customer satisfaction.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but acts as a de facto leader in the hospital.
Education/Experience
Work Environment
The majority of duties are performed in the Vetco Total Care hospital. Position involves bending, kneeling, lifting (up to 30 pounds), and standing long periods. Significant client and pet contact occurs.

The pay range is aligned with state regulations and may vary based on location, experience, and applicable laws. Actual pay will be determined accordingly.
$83,700.00 - $177,700.00 per year.
