At our Vetco Total Care Full Service Veterinary Hospitals, our veterinarian role is the most immersive in the hospital. Supervision:
Veterinarians will work under the supervision of the Hospital Medical Leader or Area Medical Director, making decisions within the standards set by Petco SOPs, and receiving guidance to enhance patient care. Professional and collegial behavior is expected among all staff.
Planning and Problem Solving:
Strong problem-solving skills are essential for diagnosing and managing patient issues efficiently.
Impact:
This role contributes to hospital growth, high-quality care, staff development, and overall organizational success, ensuring a positive environment for employees, patients, and clients.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but serves as a de facto leader within the hospital.
Education/Experience:
Work Environment:
Work primarily occurs in the Vetco Total Care hospital. Tasks involve bending, kneeling, lifting up to 30 pounds, and standing for extended periods. Significant interaction with clients and pets occurs.
