Job summary

HCA Healthcare Trident Hospital in Charleston, SC is seeking a Unit Secretary for the MedSurg Transition of Care Unit. The role requires compassionate communication, organization, and attention to detail to keep the unit running smoothly.

The shift is 7a to 7p, three days a week with rotating weekends, and the candidate should be prepared to obtain BCLS within 30 days and have a high school diploma or GED. You will greet patients, manage records, enter physician orders, and coordinate

• Greeting and guiding patients and visitors with warmth and professionalism, offering updates and ensuring they feel informed.
• Maintaining patient records accurately, entering physician orders, and protecting patient information.
• Handling all communications between incoming calls and care team members promptly and clearly.
• Keeping the environment clean, organized, and well-stocked to promote safety and comfort.
• Taking initiative to solve challenges and support daily operations with teamwork.

• Keeping the environment clean, organized, and well-stocked to promote safety and comfort
• Taking initiative to solve challenges, support daily operations, and foster a culture of respect and teamwork

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• High School Graduate / GED
• One year of administrative experience in a healthcare setting highly preferred
