Job summary

AdventHealth in Tampa, FL is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator to support patient care areas with accurate charting, data entry, and interdepartmental coordination. You will place medications, notify physicians, and help ensure smooth patient admissions, transfers and discharges, all while upholding AdventHealth's core values.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or GED, plus 1+ year hospital experience and a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; completion of Health Unit Coordinator course preferred.
• 1+ year hospital experience as health unit coordinator or in a similar role.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Place medications in secure areas and prepare chart documentation.
• Notify physicians and other departments as needed and update records.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges to support patient flow.
