AdventHealth in Orlando, Florida is seeking a dedicated Health Unit Coordinator to support our hospital teams on a full-time night shift. You will help manage patient information, coordinate communications, and ensure smooth unit operations while upholding our core values.

Responsibilities include handling the medication room, updating charts, and assisting with admissions, transfers, and discharges. Strong organization, medical terminology knowledge, and basic computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Preferred: High School Grad or equivalent.
• High School Diploma or GED or Health Unit Coordinator course completion.
• Required: 1+ hospital experience as health unit coordinator or similar.
• BLS CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Accesses the medication room to place medications in a secure area on arrival to the floor.
• Documents and monitors activities; supports department quality initiatives.
• Interacts with patients appropriately for age, acuity, and culture.
• Discharges, transfers, and admissions support; posts data timely.
