Bristol Health is seeking a Per Diem Custodian to join our facilities team at Bristol Health Main Campus in Bristol, CT. The role focuses on cleaning, disinfecting, linen handling, trash removal, and safety compliance to support a clean and safe patient environment.

Responsibilities include restocking supplies, bed making, operating cleaning equipment, and following universal precautions. prior custodial experience is preferred and a high school diploma or GED is desirable.

Qualifications

• Prior custodial work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Empties full soiled linen bags, replaces with clean bags, and disposes of full bags and linen as per procedures.
• Makes unoccupied beds and stocks clean patient linen in patient rooms.
• Stocks bathrooms, cups, and supplies to par levels; ensures cleaning chemicals and equipment are stocked for the area.
• Cleans and disinfects occupied patient rooms, offices, exam rooms, lounges, and other areas per procedures.
• Operates cleaning equipment (mops, vacuums) and handles hospital waste according to safety rules.
• Observes universal precautions, reports unsafe conditions, and follows safety training and PPE guidelines.
