Job summary

Shriners Children’s Hospital in Spokane is seeking a full-time Coordinator, Supply Chain to oversee the hospital’s Supply Chain Management operations on-site. You will coordinate purchasing, inventory, and vendor relations to ensure timely availability of equipment and supplies for patient care.

Reporting to the Regional Supply Chain Director, you will develop policies, authorize purchase orders, and support hospital managers while participating in capital planning and recalls.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 5 years Purchasing/Procurement in hospital environment, supervisory experience.
• Knowledge/experience with medical supplies, inventory control and purchasing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, develop, and direct the operation of the hospital's Supply Chain Management Department in alignment with corporate directives.
• Develop and implement departmental policies/procedures to guide purchasing services.
• Assist with the authorization and execution of purchase orders for equipment, services and supplies.
• Support, advise and assist department managers within the hospital with supply chain needs.
• Plan and organize all capital requisitions from planning to purchase.
• Serve as backup to the Regional Director of Supply Chain.
• Manage local hospital recalls.
