Job summary

Shriners Hospitals for Children is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Technician to ensure efficient flow of supplies and equipment within the medical center. The role covers advanced inventory management, procurement support, and distribution activities to meet patient care and operational needs.

Responsibilities include monitoring par levels, determining order points, processing freight, maintaining storerooms, and expediting stock and non-stock orders within 24 hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of supply chain/materials management experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and counts all stocked par levels throughout medical center and replenishes on a daily or as needed basis.
• Develop and monitor economic order points and par level statistics and adjust to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
• Receives and process all incoming freight.
• Coordinates, maintains and updates physical storerooms with system information, including bin locations and correct labels.
• Processes stock and non-stock requisitions as received and place orders within 24 hours.
• Ensures supplies and equipment are delivered to requesting departments in a timely manner.
• Reviews and makes recommendations to other departments concerning new supplies and equipment.
• Recommends purchasing policies to Regional Director of Supply Chain as needed to manage and control supplies and equipment from acquisition to disposition.
• Allocates time and efforts to accomplish departmental and medical center's priorities.
