Job summary

Fox Point Recruitment is assisting a hospital pharmacy team in Pittsfield, MA to hire a Staff Pharmacist for day shifts. This full-time role focuses on reviewing, preparing, and dispensing medications safely while serving as a clinical resource for the care team and patients.

New graduates are encouraged, and candidates with non-traditional hospital experience who show strong relevant skills will be considered for transition to acute-care settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited program.
• Current Massachusetts Pharmacist license.
• Ability to work independently within policies and procedures.
• Ability to supervise and provide direction to staff.
• Strong attention to medication safety, accuracy, and detail.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and patient safety.
• Prepare and oversee the preparation of medications and pharmaceutical products for patient use.
• Provide medication and drug-information support to physicians, nurses, healthcare professionals, patients, and families.
• Support safe medication-use practices and established pharmacy workflows.
• Work effectively with automated medication-dispensing technology and related pharmacy systems.
• Follow applicable pharmacy policies, procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Work independently within established procedures and professional standards.
• Provide direction and oversight to pharmacy support personnel as appropriate.
