You will prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, assist with audits, and collaborate with hospital departments to ensure accuracy and GAAP compliance. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of experience, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with healthcare billing systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or related field) preferred.
• 1–3+ years of general ledger accounting experience, healthcare setting valued.
• Strong Excel skills, including pivots, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and formulas.
• Familiarity with ERP or hospital billing software is a plus.
• Attention to detail, highly organized, analytical and mathematical problem-solving.
• Firm understanding of GAAP; HIPAA awareness preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day general ledger operations and month-end close processes.
• Reconcile bank and balance sheet accounts and post journal entries.
• Support CFO with financial analysis and reporting, audits, and schedules.
• Collaborate with billing and revenue teams to audit patient accounts and track variances.
• Prepare audit documentation for external, internal, and government healthcare audits.
• Produce ad-hoc financial statements and verify data accuracy.
