Job summary

Valor Health in Emmett, ID seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services in a hospital setting across the lifespan.

You will conduct assessments, develop ITPs, deliver therapy for speech, language, swallowing disorders, educate families, document progress, and collaborate with nurses and physicians. This PRN day shift role requires Idaho licensure and BLS; ASHA CCC-SLP is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Licensure: Current Idaho SLP license; ASHA CCC-SLP preferred; BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive-communication disorders.
• Provide direct therapy for articulation, language, fluency, and dysphagia.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment options, and home exercises.
• Maintain accurate patient records, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and therapists to coordinate care.
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety, and HIPAA regulations.
• Participate in quality improvement and protocol development.
