Job summary

Stanford Health Care in Palo Alto, CA seeks a Social Work Clinician at the entry/developmental level for employees not yet licensed as LCSWs. You will work under close supervision, developing casework and treatment skills as experience grows, with supervision reduced as knowledge expands.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, develop treatment plans, assess needs, coordinate referrals, document progress, and provide supportive counseling to patients and families.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited college or university; OR within 45 days of MSW completion
• Candidates who meet this qualification and furnish a letter from their Dean may receive a conditional offer
• New hires must provide proof of MSW within 45 days of hire as a condition of employment

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with interdisciplinary health care teams to treat and plan for patients' social and medical needs.
• Devises, develops and implements treatment plans as necessary.
• May make a diagnosis as part of a treatment plan.
• Conducts initial assessment of new patients to evaluate social, emotional and physical needs.
• Identifies factors interfering with treatment benefits.
• Coordinates referrals to specialty and social services and documents progress notes.
