Job summary

Waste Management is seeking a Hospital Services Worker to travel between customer healthcare facilities across WA, proactively collecting and exchanging waste containers for Stericycle programs, including Sharps Management, Pharmaceutical Waste, and Document Management. This on-site role follows a regular schedule.

The schedule includes Seattle Children’s in Seattle, Swedish Edmonds and Cancer Center in Edmonds, Skagit Station Square in Mount Vernon, Cascade Valley in Arlington, United General

Qualifications

  • On-site presence at WMHS locations and immunization requirements.
  • 2 years customer service experience or equivalent education.
  • Driver's License required.

  • Travels between healthcare facilities to proactively monitor, collect, and exchange waste containers for Stericycle programs and services.
  • Interacts professionally with onsite customer staff to ensure service expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Maintains a rigid collection and service schedule.

I. Job Summary

Under management direction, a Hospital Services Worker travels between customer healthcare facilities providing on-site proactive collection and exchange of waste containers for various Stericycle programs, including but not limited to: Sharps Management Service, Pharmaceutical Waste, Controlled Substances, and Document Management. This service is provided at regularly scheduled intervals for assigned facilities.

Schedule

Monday: Seattle Children’s- Seattle, WA
Tuesday: Swedish Edmonds & Cancer Center-Edmonds, WA
Wednesday: Skagit Station Square-Mt. Vernon WA, Cascade Valley-Arlington, WA, United General (Bi-weekly)-Sedro Woolley, WA.
Thursday: Swedish Issaquah-Issaquah, WA
Friday: Swedish Edmonds & Cancer Center-Edmonds, WA

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Travels between customer healthcare facilities to proactively monitor, collect, and exchange waste containers for various Stericycle programs and services, including but not limited to: Sharps Management Service, Pharmaceutical Waste, Controlled Substance and Document Management.
  • Interacts professionally with onsite customer staff to ensure service expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Maintains a rigid collection and service schedule.
  • Communicates duty status on a defined scheduled.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
III. Qualifications
A. Required Qualifications
  • This position requires on-site presence at WMHS customer locations and compliance with all mandatory immunization requirements imposed by such customers, and
  • 2 years industry related experience in a customer service capacity preferred, or the equivalent in related work experience, demonstrating strong communication skills and tact in providing superior customer service in a variety of settings and situations or preferred education requirement
  • Driver's License
B. Preferred Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED (accredited)
Pay

The expected base pay rate for this office/on-site or position is $23 an hour. This range represents a good faith estimate forthis position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidatemay be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.

Employees will also receive at least _120_ hours of paid time off per year, accrued on a payroll period
basis and _7_ [11, if Corporate employee] paid holidays throughout the calendar year. The Company provides this paid time off to comply with its obligations to provide paid sick and safe time (“PSST”) under Washington state law and local ordinances.
