Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license.
• Previous security, law enforcement or military experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write and speak intelligible English; strong communication skills.
• Ability to write reports and maintain logs.
• Ability to work independently and respond well under stress.

Responsibilities

• Responds to security emergencies and calls for service.
• Patrols and secures hospital properties and provides escorts as needed.
• Controls access to facilities and monitors security systems.
• Coordinates emergency drills and works with law enforcement.
• Investigates incidents and prepares written reports.
• Maintains readiness to intervene with appropriate force per policy.
