Qualifications

• Previous security experience is preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Ability to operate a company vehicle.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Completes all required training within prescribed time limits.
• Conducts routine patrols of hospital buildings and premises to prevent fire, theft, vandalism, and unauthorized visitors.
• Conducts hazard surveillance for safety, security, and infection control issues.
• Completes an activity log for each shift worked, detailing activities and hours.
• Checks equipment, including patrol vehicle, daily and documents findings on the checklist.
• Responds to workplace violence reports and notifies supervisor as needed.
• Conducts investigations and prepares incident reports and documentation.
• Maintains and enforces departmental policies and procedures.
• Interacts with employees, physicians, visitors, contractors, vendors, and others professionally.
