Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Professional - Unarmed for hospital environments. The role involves unarmed foot/vehicle patrols, access control, CCTV monitoring, and report writing. TB tests and vaccinations may be required; taser certification may be needed.

A High School Diploma and valid driver's license are required. Pay rate is $18.00 per hour. Full Time and Part Time opportunities on all shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current driver’s license if driving a company- or customer-owned vehicle.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Minimum of two (2) years of verifiable employment history related to customer service or protective services.
• Must be at least 18 years of age, or higher if required by state.
• Able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors.
• Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Problem solving skills.
• Active listening skills.
• Ability to assess and evaluate situations quickly and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of hospital grounds on foot or in vehicle; document observations.
• Assist hospital staff with de-escalation of situations involving patients; restrain combative individuals as necessary.
• Transport patients to the morgue, as needed.
• Escort patients from helicopter pad to the emergency room.
• Assist with evacuations during fires, medical emergencies, and disasters.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department when needed.
• Warn violators of rule infractions and monitor entrances/exits.
• Ensure only authorized individuals enter and exit; prevent contraband entry.
• Observe departing personnel to protect company property.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents and incidents; maintain logs.
