Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time, Unarmed) for a hospital location in Willoughby, OH. The role involves performing routine rounds, maintaining a visible security presence, and responding to incidents while delivering courteous service to patients, visitors, and staff.

As part of a healthcare setting, you'll follow site policies, document incidents, and collaborate with leadership to keep the facility safe. This position is paid at $16.00 per hour with a daytime schedule.

Qualifications

• Vaccinations are required for hospital positions.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be performed as per laws.
• Drug screen is required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate personnel and following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and surrounding property to help identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as assigned, and report security-related concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication regarding incidents, observations, and daily activities.
