Children's National Health System is seeking Special Police Officers to protect patients, families, staff and property. You will respond to emergencies, enforce hospital policies, and perform access control using advanced technology across the campus.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 2 years as an SPO preferred, a valid US driver's license, and strong communication. You must be able to work outdoors, endure stairs in emergencies, wear body armor, and stay calm under pressure.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years work experience as a Special Police Officer (preferred).
• Valid US Driver's license and excellent communication skills; able to work outdoors.

Responsabilités

• Perform productive security patrols of the hospital, garage and perimeter; identify safety concerns and take action.
• Respond to emergencies; de-escalate situations and follow department policies.
• Check visitors and staff identifications; enforce access control and report non-compliance.
• Maintain post orders and promptly submit safety and security reports.
• Collaborate with medical staff to promote patient safety.
