Job summary

The Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities is seeking a Security Operations Manager for Georgia Regional Hospital Atlanta. This exempt management position oversees daily campus security operations, supervises security personnel, and ensures staffing, readiness, and policy compliance to maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Reporting to the Police Lieutenant, you will coordinate with law enforcement, respond to emergencies, conduct inspections,

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED with Georgia P.O.S.T. certification.
Two years of supervisory custodial experience in criminal justice or corrections.
One year at the Lieutenant or Captain level or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Supervise Security Supervisors, Officers, Dispatchers and assigned staff.
Plan, direct, and evaluate the work of staff.
Ensure continuous 24-hour security operations and adequate shift coverage.
Coordinate staffing adjustments for leave, vacancies, training and emergencies.
Provide supervisory/operational coverage when needed.
Coordinate daily operations with the Police Lieutenant and implement directives.
Respond to emergencies, alarms, incidents, fires and disasters.
Inspect personnel, buildings, grounds, equipment and security systems.
Prepare performance evaluations, investigations, reports and docs.
Recommend corrective action, training and equipment purchases.
