Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Tradition Hospital in Port St. Lucie, FL seeks an Unarmed Security Officer to protect patients, visitors, staff, and property through regular patrols and policy enforcement.

You will be part of a growing security team at the Cleveland Clinic Tradition Hospital, with opportunities to advance within hospital security. The role requires 3 rotating 12-hour day shifts per week (5:30 AM – 6:00 PM), Monday–Friday with weekends/holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required and must meet Florida license requirements.
• State of Florida Class D license required.
• Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to document investigations clearly.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of work.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the premises and maintain courtesy and good judgment when interacting with the public.
• Monitor visitor conduct, verify legitimacy of individuals, and enforce parking regulations.
• Demonstrate tact and diplomacy; interact with diverse groups.
• Communicate clearly with the public and hospital staff.
• Provide security escort to personnel as appropriate.
• Unlock offices and secure patient valuables; respond to safety or security incidents.
• Apply restraining techniques as required to maintain safety; report hazards and incidents.
• Assist clinic personnel, patients and visitors promptly with security-related needs.
