Job summary

St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, NH is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to maintain a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors. You will patrol hospital facilities and off-site locations, support emergency responses, and ensure access control with professionalism.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and may have prior security or related experience. Training for equipment and certifications will be provided where needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Post-secondary education preferred.
• Prior security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred.
• Must pass criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Patrol SJH buildings, grounds and off-site locations.
• Support mission and values of Covenant Health Ministry.
• Assist staff with safe handling of behavioral health patients and use of force when necessary.
• Conduct vehicle and employee parking lot safety patrols.
• Document activity in Security Log and prepare incident reports.
• Respond to emergencies and codes within security scope.
• Assist with access to restricted hospital areas.
• Safely transport and secure deceased persons and property per policy.
• Maintain radio communications and coordinate with switchboard and other officers.
• Provide 24/7 courtesy escorts as requested.
