Job summary

Kingman Regional Medical Center is seeking a Security Guard to protect patients, staff and visitors. You will patrol facilities, monitor access, and respond to incidents, while maintaining a calm, secure environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 21+ years old, and an AZ DPS Unarmed Guard License within 90 days. You may travel between campus locations and must be able to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; must provide diploma or official transcripts upon hire.
• Knowledge of basic security, safety, and emergency response procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and staff.
• Ability to remain calm and de-escalate confrontational situations.
• Experience operating security and surveillance systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, staff, and hospital property.
• Perform routine interior and exterior patrols to identify security, safety, or environmental risks.
• Monitor and control access to facilities according to policies.
• Respond promptly to security incidents using approved de-escalation techniques.
• Provide a visible security presence to deter unsafe behavior and promote a calm environment.
• Assist with emergency response activities, including fire alarms and medical emergencies.
• Support patient safety initiatives and protect vulnerable populations.
• Enforce hospital policies consistently and professionally.
• Communicate with hospital staff and emergency responders during routine and emergency situations.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and security documentation.
• Operate hospital security systems and communication equipment.
