Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Security Officer to safeguard facilities, staff, patients and visitors. You will monitor premises, guide people to the right areas, and intervene to prevent disturbances as part of a safety-driven team at our Detroit-area Moross Road campus.

This full-time role requires a high school diploma, a Michigan driver’s license, and state security training. Prior healthcare security or sworn-law enforcement experience is preferred, with annual training mandated.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Preference given to Hospital / Healthcare related security experience.
• Prior law enforcement or four plus years of military service with Honorable Discharge.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Henry Ford Health facilities and properties to protect persons and property.
• Direct visitors, patients, and employees to appropriate locations.
• Intervene to prevent and control disturbances.
• Keep appropriate personnel informed of activities, events, and incidents.
• Summon necessary assistance as required.
