Penn State Health Hershey Medical Center is seeking a full-time Security Officer to safeguard outpatient clinics and on-campus locations. Daily duties include incident investigation, crisis response, and managing access control and surveillance systems to protect patients, staff and visitors.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and completion of IAHSS Basic Certification within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 1 year of related experience.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• New hires must complete IAHSS Basic Certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Investigate security incidents and support crisis response.
• Intervene in combative patient situations and ensure safety-related emergency response.
• Monitor and operate access control and surveillance systems to protect people and assets.
• Maintain safety for patients, staff, visitors, students, buildings and property.
