Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Hospital Security Officer at St. Vincent Hospital in Erie for part-time shifts (7:00AM-3:00PM, 3:00PM-11:00PM, 11:00PM-7:00AM). The role involves surveillance, staff and visitor protection, and customer service in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in customer-facing roles or stressful situations.
• Be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Observe and remain vigilant for signs of crime, disorder, hazard, and unusual activity.
• Patrol on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to check for unsafe conditions and security violations.
• De-escalate verbally and physically as needed.
• Inspect security devices and fire control equipment.
• Screen members, visitors, and staff to expedite admittance.
• Respond to incidents of fire, medical emergencies, bomb threats, or other hazards with calm urgency.
• May escort patients or transport deceased to morgue.
