Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking a Security Officer to help protect hospital campuses and promote safe, compassionate care for patients, staff, and visitors. The role includes monitoring areas, controlling access, and responding to emergencies within a Memorial Hermann facility.

Hours are 6 PM to 6 AM. Candidates must hold a High School Diploma or GED, be 21+, and have or obtain the necessary security licenses and CPR/BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Licenses/Certifications: must be licensed as a Commissioned Security Officer by the Texas DPPSB or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Driver's license: valid license if from out of state; Texas license within 90 days of employment.
• CPR/BLS: Heartsaver CPR or Heartcode BLS CPR by AHA; obtain within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Monitors assigned areas to ensure maximum security visibility.
• Post in assigned area or patrol by vehicle or on foot.
• Control access and manage building visitor passes; report hazards or breaches.
• Respond to security and emergency situations; assist patients, visitors and staff.
• Submit security reports and activity logs; operate security equipment.
• Adhere to Memorial Hermann policies and support professional growth.
