Job summary

Montefiore Nyack Hospital is seeking a Security Officer to protect premises and people with minimal supervision. You will patrol the property, monitor surveillance, inspect buildings and access points, and report irregularities.

The role requires a High School education, 1-3 years of hospital security experience, CPR/First Aid certification, and the ability to relate well to diverse people. Per diem, part-time and full-time options are available; daytime shifts with 8-hour schedules are offered.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years experience in a hospital setting as a Security guard.
• Preferred: Active CPR and First Aid certification.
• Must relate well to all types of people and act positively.

Responsibilities

• Reports to Security Manager for overall job performance.
• Assigned to fixed posts and hospital patrol.
• Courteous, pleasant, and helpful to the public and Hospital staff.
• Conducts training exercises for fire drills, code silver, code pink and code gray alarms.
• Ensures compliance with hospital and security policies.
