Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• College degree preferred; psychological evaluation completed.
• Must be at least 21 years of age for Armed role.
• Currently or formerly employed as a police officer in Michigan or eligible for reciprocal licensure.
• Up to 1 year of security experience in a Security Officer role at Henry Ford Health or 5+ years of complex security operations.
• Military service: 4+ years with Honorable Discharge.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Henry Ford Health facilities and properties with sharp attention to detail.
• Protect persons and property against injury or loss through proactive vigilance.
• Welcome and direct visitors, patients, and employees to their destinations with a helpful attitude.
• Intervene swiftly and professionally to prevent and manage disturbances.
• Keep the right people informed about activities, events, and incidents as they unfold.
• Summon appropriate assistance when needed to ensure safety.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

21+ years of age for Security Police Officer-Armed role

MI police officer licensure / reciprocal licensure eligibility

Security experience (1 year at Henry Ford Health)

5+ years complex security operations

4+ years military experience w/Honorable Discharge
