Job summary

Hunterdon Healthcare System Inc. is seeking a Security Officer to provide protection for persons and property at the hospital in Flemington, NJ.

This full-time role covers the day shift (Mon-Fri, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM) and involves patrols, emergency response, and access control, including badge issuance and maintenance. Responsibilities include documenting security activities, assisting guests and staff, and ensuring compliance with hospital regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prefer Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; minimum three years driving experience.
• Must be certified in Workplace Violence Prevention within 90 days of employment.
• Must complete IAHSS Basic Officer Certification within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Patrol hospital premises to enforce safety policies.
• Respond to emergencies and activate appropriate actions.
• Complete and submit security reports daily.
• Greet and assist patients, visitors, and staff courteously.
• Control entry of patients, visitors, staff, and vendors.
• ID Services: manage badge issuance, access control, scheduling, documentation, and compliance.
