St. Joseph Hospital – A Member of Catholic Health in Bethpage, NY is seeking a Security Guard to help maintain a safe, welcoming environment for all who enter our doors. Join St.

Joseph Hospital, a community-focused facility within Catholic Health, and support patients, staff, and visitors. You will respond to emergencies, control access, patrol buildings, assist with fire safety inspections, and prepare incident reports.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• NYS Security Guard License or Active Duty Law Enforcement required.
• BLS & AED Certification required.
• One year of security experience preferred (hospital setting a plus).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Responding promptly to emergencies and security incidents.
• Controlling facility access and ensuring only authorized personnel enter.
• Conducting regular patrols of buildings, grounds, and parking areas.
• Assisting with fire safety inspections and staff education.
• Providing courteous support and assistance to patients, staff, and visitors.
• Preparing clear and timely incident reports.
