Job summary

Banner Health is expanding its security team in Buckeye, AZ to support a new Emergency Department opening in 2026. The Security Officer will patrol facilities, monitor alarms, assist staff and patients, and respond to codes and incidents, delivering professional customer service in a high-acuity environment.

This full-time day-shift role requires strong judgment, excellent communication, and the ability to work with law enforcement and emergency responders. Training provided by Banner Health.

Qualifications

• Minimum security certifications and valid driver’s license.
• Ability to write comprehensive security reports and demonstrate independent judgment.
• Experience in interacting with emergency response agencies and patients, visitors and staff.

Responsibilities

• Exhibits excellent interpersonal skills and customer service in all contacts with patients, visitors and staff.
• Responds to emergency codes and patrols the facility to maintain a safe environment.
• Assists with security matters, mediates disputes, conducts interviews, and enforces parking and traffic control.
• Inspects and locks/unlocks doors, handles alarm monitoring and responding to alarms.
• Maintains logs and writes incident reports; coordinates with law enforcement and emergency services.
