Banner Health Emergency Services is excited to bring a new state-of-the-art freestanding emergency department to the growing Buckeye, Arizona community. Scheduled to open in November 2026, this modern 14,500-square‑foot facility will provide convenient access to high-quality emergency care close to home. The new emergency department will feature 14 fully equipped exam rooms, a dedicated trauma and treatment room, and advanced diagnostic capabilities, including X‑ray, CT scan, and ultrasound services. Working in close partnership with Banner Estrella Medical Center, the Buckeye emergency department will ensure seamless coordination of care with our ongoing commitment to expanding access to exceptional healthcare and supporting the continued growth of the West Valley.
As a Security Officer, you will respond promptly to emergency situations, help ensure the safety and security of patients, visitors, and staff, conduct routine patrols of facilities and grounds, and provide effective alarm monitoring and response services. You will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment while delivering exceptional customer service and supporting the organization's commitment to safety.
Location: Banner Health Emergency Verrado - 20751 W Market St Buckeye, AZ Schedule: Wednesday, 12:00am - 6:00am Thursday -Saturday 6:00pm -6:00am Employees who work at least two (2) hours during the night shift window, defined as 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, are eligible for an 18% night shift differential.
This position patrols the facilities and grounds; assists with the welfare and safety of personnel and patients; investigates critical incidents; assists employees, patients and visitors; interfaces with emergency response agencies; secures doors; monitors parking and traffic control. Performs assigned security duties promptly and accurately. Works varied assignments and shifts.
Must maintain required security certifications. Must possess a valid driver’s license and be eligible for coverage under the company auto insurance policy. Must possess the ability to make accurate observations and exercise good independent judgment in a variety of situations (including emergencies). Must demonstrate the ability to write comprehensive security reports. Must successfully complete all required security departmental training, including department specific annual training and mandatory training as assigned. Must successfully complete Banner Health Basic Officer Academy. Must present a professional appearance and demeanor at all times and must possess strong verbal communications skills. Must qualify and maintain proficiency with assigned non-lethal weapons. Must be able to demonstrate the ability to perform physical requirements of the position. Capabilities will be demonstrated through the successful completion of similarly related skills testing. This physical skills assessment will then be conducted on a bi-annual basis and employees must successfully meet the requirements to remain in role. Employees must possess a Fingerprint Clearance Card within 60 days of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment. Employees working at Banner Behavioral Health Hospital must have a fingerprint clearance card at time of hire and must sign a Criminal History Affidavit upon hire.
Prefer prior law enforcement, military, Corrections, healthcare or advance security experience. Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
