Who we are looking for

You're a results-driven hospital sales professional with strong clinical credibility and experience navigating complex health systems. You're known for building trusted relationships, operating with integrity, and influencing cross-functional stakeholders to drive access and adoption.

This is what you will do

You will serve as the hospital sales specialist within an assigned territory, meeting all sales objectives for Chiesi USA's CARE promoted hospital products and upholding the company standards and expectations. Must live in the area of assigned territory of Birmingham, AL.

You’ll be responsible for:
  • Quarterly/Annual Sales Objectives Attainment & Promotion
    • Call on targeted customers and promote/sell Chiesi USA products in accordance with approved methods within your assigned geographic territory
    • Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual sales goals
    • Conducts in-services and clinical discussions with physicians, pharmacists, and hospital staff
    • Navigate hospital formulary process
    • Implement territory business plans aligned to regional and national goals
    • Establishe and maintain professional relationships with medical centers, pharmacies, physicians, medical staff, and others
    • Develop influential customers as local advocates and champions
    • Schedule and conduct high-impact meetings with targeted customers and peers
    • Implement special programs to maximize sales opportunities (e.g. speaker bureau programs, symposia, and displays at conventions)
    • Continuously refine sales and retention strategies to optimize business outcomes and create "win-win" results for physicians and company market providers
    • Partners and leverages Chiesi's internal teams to meet customer needs and move the selling process forward
  • Territory Planning & Reporting
    • Develop, update, and adhere to territory business plans
    • Prepare reports and presentations for management
    • Prepare and present monthly sales reports, identifying trends opportunities, and obstacles to new business growth
  • Development & Administration
    • Rapidly gain proficiency with products and sales tools (visual aids, clinical reprints, technical data, educational materials, etc.) to demonstrate a high degree of competence and knowledge to a highly trained audience
    • Manages territory budget within assigned Company guidelines
    • Responds in a timely manner to all management and customer requests
You will need to have
  • Bachelor's Degree from a four-year accredited university
  • Two years' pharmaceutical industry sales experience
  • Excellent communication (interpersonal and public speaking) skills
  • Proven organizational and territory management skills
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Proficiency in presenting scientific information utilizing visual aids, clinical reprints and technical data is a necessity
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Successful completion of new hire training and the ability to pass product knowledge tests
  • Skillfully plans, prioritizes and executes multiple responsibilities with minimal supervision in a highly dynamic work environment
  • Valid driver's license and maintain acceptable driving record
  • Thorough knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and hospital credentialing processes. This includes obtaining and maintaining the necessary hospital credentials to access and operate within healthcare institutions. Credentialing includes successful completion of a drug test, including testing for marijuana.

Location

Field-Based/Remote position, up to 75% travel as necessary to meet job requirements; Candidates should live in/near territory location(s): Birmginham, AL. #LI-Remote

Compensation

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $135,540 to $155,000. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. If hired, the employee will be in an \"at-will position\" and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
