CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Safety Officer to develop, coordinate, and monitor programs ensuring compliance with The Joint Commission Environment of Care, Emergency Management, OSHA, and NFPA across facilities. You will oversee hazard communication, injury investigations, and safety training, serving as on-site security contact and vendor liaison.

Required are 3–5 years in EM/Safety, at least 1 year in healthcare, and strong regulatory interpretation skills.

Formación

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in Safety/Safety Management or equivalent.
• 3–5 years in Emergency Management, Occupational Safety, and/or Fire Safety.
• At least 1 year in a healthcare organization.
• Experience interpreting and applying OSHA, TJC, and state health safety requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, implement, monitor, and report EC programs for licensed facilities.
• Collect, evaluate hazards and safety practice information via rounds and risk assessments.
• Identify problems, implement changes, and document processes; make immediate corrections when needed.
• Oversee Emergency Management program including disaster-related activities.
• Maintain the Hospital Safety Manual and Emergency Operations Plan and annexes.
• Coordinate safety education for orientation and mandatory training for staff.
• Maintain data and documentation related to EC and EM programs.
• Monitor compliance of safety surveys and report progress to EC and EM committees.
