Job summary

Marvel Healthcare Contracted Solutions, LLC is looking for a Hospital Revenue Cycle Manager to ensure accurate entry of patient data into billing software and to obtain all financial documents necessary for complete claims processing.

This role directly influences financial collectability and requires adherence to defined processes, with emphasis on insurance eligibility verification and timely documentation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily census to capture all admissions, discharges, interrupted stays and room changes.
• Verify insurance for all patients.
• Audit new Admissions in Billing Software within 12 hours of Admission.
• Provide financial counseling for all patients.
• Maintain complete financial folders on all patients.
• Accurately and completely enter/audit patient data required for admission into Billing Software.
• Verify all documentation required to support charges.
• Perform accurate and complete charge audits and verifications in the Billing Software on a daily basis.
• Maintain detailed notes in Billing Software.
• Audit Discharged patients and notify RHIA for coding within 12 hours of discharge.
• Review the Discharged Not Final Billed report daily, updating accounts as needed.
• Ensure the diagnosis codes are entered into the Billing Software by the RHIA in an accurate and timely manner.

The role of the Hospital Revenue Cycle Manager is to completely and accurately enter all patient data into the billing software as well as obtain all financial documentation required to allow a complete and accurate claim to be submitted to the responsible parties for payment. The HRCM has a direct effect on financial collectability of account balances. This employee must have the ability to follow defined processes on a daily basis and have extensive knowledge of insurance eligibility and verification. Immaculate organizational and time management skills must be maintained to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
