Job summary

The Rehabilitation Technician at VCU Health System Authority in Virginia supports direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech-Language Pathologist. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Health Sciences, or related degree preferred.
• CNA certification preferred.
• Experience in hospital/clinic setting preferred.
• Experience using PC software (word processing, spreadsheets, databases).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient-care activities under the supervision of licensed therapists.
• Monitor patient's response to activities and report findings to the supervising therapist.
• Perform administrative duties: environment of care, equipment cleaning, stocking supplies, scheduling and registration.
• Coordinate or supervise volunteers and onboard new team members as needed.
• Work hours may include holidays, evenings and weekends; may be considered an essential employee.
