Job summary

Labcorp in San Antonio, TX is hiring a Hospital Reference Test Clerk to join our laboratory team. The position runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, supporting specimen preparation, test orders, and result-release workflows.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with preferred Labcorp or clinical lab experience. It emphasizes accuracy, communication, and teamwork in a fast-paced lab setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualification: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Preferred Qualification: Current or prior Labcorp experience.
• South Texas Spinal Clinic experience: 1 year or more in a medical/clinical laboratory setting.
• Good communication and organizational skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for various analysis and testing.
• Research, troubleshoot and resolve customer and specimen problems.
• Send test requests to proper location and release test results.
• Assist clients with any specimen related requests or inquiries.
• Process specimens to be sent out to additional facilities.
• Provide support to various areas of the laboratory.
• Perform sample sorting, racking and retrieving.
• Prepare record logs in a timely and efficient manner.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Job Responsibilities

Qualifications

Current or Prior experience working for South Texas Spinal Clinic 1 year or more of experience in a medical / clinical laboratory experience
