HealthSource Saginaw seeks a Hospital Program Educator to strengthen staff development, support program-level training initiatives, and lead the next generation of healthcare professionals on site in Saginaw, MI. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or equivalent advanced degree of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in the State of Michigan.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• 3-5 years of demonstrated expertise in clinical practice.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles and the teaching/learning process.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver engaging training, education, and coaching tailored to the program’s patient/resident population.
• Lead program-specific new hire orientation, annual competencies, and ongoing training.
• Serve as the primary educator for program topics during new hire orientation, annual competency events, SECURE training, and EMR education.
• Maintain accurate training records in the LMS/Relias and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
• Assist with onboarding training for new hires and coaching on units.

At HealthSource Saginaw, we’re seeking a Hospital Program Educator who will play a key role in strengthening staff development, supporting program-level training initiatives, and leading the next generation of healthcare professionals. In this role, you’ll deliver engaging training, provide hands-on coaching, and ensure that program-specific education remains effective, consistent, and aligned with organizational goals.

What You’ll Do:

Education, Training & Staff Development:

• Design, develop, and deliver engaging training, education, and coaching tailored to the unique needs of the program’s patient/resident population.
• Lead program-specific new hire orientation, annual competencies, and ongoing training.
• Serve as the primary educator for program topics during new hire orientation, annual competency events, SECURE training, and electronic medical record (EMR) education.
• Maintain accurate training records in the learning management system (LMS/Relias) and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards

Onboarding & Coaching:

• Assist with onboarding training for new hires, including assigning partners, monitoring progress, and providing hands-on coaching on the units.
• Support onboarding for medical students, interns, and other clinical learners.
• Assist with BLS/CPR training and serve as a backup educator for facility-wide learning events.
• Partner with the Facility Educator and leadership to assess, update, and deploy annual training and competency plans.
• Participate in nursing leadership forums, safety committees, and quality initiatives.
• Build strong relationships across departments to support education, safety, efficiency, and exceptional patient/resident care.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

Required:

• Bachelor’s or equivalent advanced degree of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Michigan
• Current BLS/CPR certification (onsite training available if needed).
• 3-5 years of demonstrated expertise in clinical practice.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles and the teaching/learning process.

Preferred:

• Master’s Degree in Nursing or equivalent advanced degree.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with prior experience in education role.
• Experience in one or more of the following clinical areas: Medical Rehabilitation or Behavioral Medicine.
