Job summary

Atrium Health in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a full-time Food Service Worker to support the Food and Nutrition Services team in a hospital setting. You will contribute to patient and customer satisfaction while following HACCP, safety and sanitation standards.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED (preferred) and about two years in food services within a medical environment. Must be fluent in English with basic math and computer skills and be able to work evenings, weekends and

• High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred. Two years' experience in food services, in a medical environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to overall positive patient and customer satisfaction striving to meet the highest service and quality standards.
• Maintains a 97% or better sanitation rating by following sanitation policies and completing daily/weekly cleaning assignments; NSF double gold; meets Sodexo standards.
• Monitors quality of product at stations, ensures recipe compliance and adherence to departmental guidelines; maintains productivity and schedules.
• Follows all workplace safety and sanitation rules to maintain a safe work environment.
• Completes required trainings including HIPAA and annual OSHA training.
• Participates in department's performance improvement initiatives and supports other departments as needed.
• Minimizes product waste and controls costs; ensures proper use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; follows HACCP and brand documentation.
• Acts as Team Leader in absence and resolves issues with employees, customers and department issues.
