Job summary

Avera McKennan Hospital is seeking a Maintenance Plumber to perform a variety of general, mechanical, and preventive maintenance duties on hospital systems, including sprinklers and medical gases. You will read and apply plumbing codes, monitor work orders, and coordinate with contract plumbers for inspections.

The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with rotating weekends/holidays, a $3,000 sign-on bonus for eligible applicants, and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Plumber license with SD Plumbing Commission within 120 days of hire.
• Driver's license required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform general, mechanical, and preventative maintenance duties.
• Provide plumbing services and maintain hospital equipment and facilities.
• Work with plumbing systems including sprinklers, medical gases, natural gas; perform repairs and modifications.
• Monitor work orders, complete preventive maintenance rounds, and log activities.
