Responsibilities

• Reads and understands blueprints as an essential part of carrying out work.
• Performs all levels of corrective and preventative maintenance to assure plant/equipment safety and reliability.
• Responsible for new installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of hospital drainage systems (sanitary and storm).
• Troubleshoots, maintains, and installs replacement piping/devices; installs backflow devices and files reports.
• Troubleshoots and maintains hospital potable water system; manages hot and cold water systems.
• Operates and maintains maintenance tools; keeps shop and storage areas clean and organized.
• Maintains medical gases, vacuum distribution systems and records as required by codes and standards.
• Adheres to electrical lockout procedures and safety practices; assists in emergencies and snow removal teams.
