Job summary

St. Anthony North Hospital is seeking a Mechanic Engineer to operate and maintain stationary engines and mechanical equipment such as compressors, generators, and steam boilers, ensuring continuous utilities for the hospital.

You will perform general maintenance, mentor facilities staff, and deliver excellent service to patients, visitors, and staff while working with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/G.E.D. required.
• 2+ years maintenance, operation and repair of building mechanical systems including boilers, chillers, pumps and AHUs.
• Knowledge of medical gas systems and backup systems.
• Experience with Building Automation Systems and CMMS.
• Valid state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Regularly starts, stops, and adjusts or regulates equipment to condition the facility.
• Observes meters and gauges, manipulates valves and machinery to maintain readings.
• Performs preventive maintenance of air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.
• Reads and interprets blueprints for installation and repairs of equipment.
• Performs routine maintenance and cleaning of boilers and central plant equipment daily.
• Recognizes and corrects unsafe practices and conditions as needed.
